What affects installation?
Working time, cleanup and curing requirements vary among products. In a regrout, the condition and depth of the existing joints add another layer of work. Those differences should be included in a quote instead of comparing only material cost.
What does grout not solve?
Changing the grout does not correct movement, poor drainage or failed waterproofing. If joints repeatedly crack or water escapes the shower, establish the cause before selecting a replacement finish.
