Why choose a curbless entry?

A level transition can make a shower feel connected to the room and remove a step at the entry. The structure must accommodate drainage, and nearby surfaces need appropriate protection. It is a design for the whole bathroom floor, not just the shower opening.

When does a curb make sense?

A curb can suit a room where changing floor elevations would significantly expand the work. Its dimensions and glass details still need careful planning. A well-designed curbed shower can be generous and comfortable.

What should be checked first?

Review framing, drain position, door clearance and the adjacent floor. Discuss mobility needs and splash control. These facts determine the realistic options before the material palette is selected.

A common question

Will removing the curb improve accessibility on its own?

It removes one barrier, but access also depends on the room layout, opening, controls, seating and support. Plan those around the user’s needs.
